A while ago I had an email addressed to ‘Thomas’ but to my email, from a website called ‘Ourtime’ thanking me for signing up and asking me to click a link to verify, which obviously i did not do because I had not signed up for anything. I assumed that by not verifying, that would be the end of it.
It… was not. Apparently it’s a dating site for over 50s, and I’m getting multiple junk emails a day advertising people to me. I marked them as spam and have been ignoring them, but a week ago I decided to contact their customer service and explain the situation, and ask them to remove my email.
WELL NOW. Since then, I’ve been passed from the .co.uk site, to the US .com site, and now to a company called Match in the UK again, and none of them can find an account with my email address – probably because I did not verify it! – to remove it so I can stop the spam! I have just this minute fired off an email, cc-ing all of them in it, to say I don’t care who it is (although the emails are coming from the .com site who oh so kindly passed me over yesterday despite my sending a screenshot with their email address on it! and refused to acknowledge it was them.
I am frustrated.
No, this has nothing to do with healing from trauma, or reflection, or anything therapeutic, but a girl’s gotta whinge somewhere!
